Trevor Leeks

Trevor has over 25 years’ experience working in the automotive and aerospace industries on a global scale, with Ford and BAE, before moving to Jaguar Land Rover to head up its £1 billion Engine Manufacturing Centre near Wolverhampton. The EMC is an award winning state of the art manufacturing facility that is rated BREEAM Excellent.

Trevor received an honorary degree from the University of Wolverhampton in 2016 in recognition of his work involved with the local community.

Reason for Becoming a Business Champion

Trevor has operated in various different manufacturing environments, driving key achievements in safety, quality, cost, delivery and people. He has been instrumental in the success and continued delivery of Jaguar Land Rover’s Engine Manufacturing Centre, located on the i54 Business Park, near Wolverhampton.

As a major employer in the local area, Trevor joined Business Champions, with a commitment to make a difference, supporting the organisation and providing thought leadership and innovation in order to boost inward investment, based on best practice. He sees the integration of the EMC into the community for generations to come as a vital part of this process.

Other Local Interests

In his role as Operations Director at the Engine Manufacturing Centre, Trevor has focussed heavily on developing a strong workforce, based on continuous operational and personal improvements. This ethos is based on a commitment to Integrity, Understanding, Excellence, Unity and Responsibility; creating ‘Experiences Customers Love, for Life’.

His commitment to the local community, from which the EMC draws its workforce, has included playing a pivotal role in supporting local organisations, such as The Way – Youth Zone, as a founder patron, patron of Compton Hospice and supporter of other local charitable organisations such as Midlands Air Ambulance.

Trevor received an honorary fellowship from the University of Wolverhampton in 2016, in recognition of his contribution to development, shaping economic regeneration and up-skilling the local workforce.
